A tour through the forest
A flat walk through the southernmost wooded area of Navarre
The route starts at the Corral del Plano, which can be reached on foot along the Oinez Basoa route or along the Miranda de Arga road, taking a path that goes up on the left at km 1.800. It is a completely flat walk of about 6 km through the most southerly woodland in Navarre, in a fairly good state of conservation. It is a beautiful forest of holm oaks, kermes oaks, junipers and some gall oaks, typical of the continental Mediterranean climate of the area. Geologically speaking, Monte Plano is formed by an old fluvial terrace, which now separates the basins of the Arga and Cidacos rivers. An ideal walk to do with family or friends, a route that in its short variant is completed in an hour and a half, which can be extended to two and a half hours if you have accessed on foot by the itinerary Oinez Basoa; forest planted in 2011 to commemorate the Nafarroa Oinez, which in that year was held in Tafalla.
