The hiking route to the Fuente de los Ángeles is one of the most charming walks in the Zona Media. It runs through picturesque corners and a surprising forest of holm oaks, oaks and some maples. For years, the signposted route started at kilometer 1.7 of the road from San Martín de Unx to Ujué. In the present project, the signposting has been renewed and the starting point has been moved to the town centre, giving rise to a route four kilometers longer than the original one.
The route starts next to the Gothic church of Santa María and crosses San Martín de Unx along the urban crossing of the NA-132 road towards Lerga. At the first bend to the right it turns off to go down Calle Huertos until it leaves the town. It continues between fields and recreational estates until it reaches the road to Ujué. After crossing it, the route continues ascending and further on it makes a wide loop that leads to the Fuente de los Ángeles, where we can rest on the benches and refresh ourselves with its water.
From the area of the fountain, the route continues along a nice path for a kilometer and then returns to the beginning of the loop along a track that is quite closed by the vegetation. The return from there to San Martín de Unx is along the same path as on the way out.
