A bird's eye view of Valdorba
A route where you can enjoy the typical mosaic landscape of Valdorba with its fields, orchards, undergrowth and villages.
In the surroundings of Orísoain we find the typical mosaic landscape of Valdorba: with small fields and vegetable gardens in the valley, Mediterranean undergrowth on the slopes and villages on the hillsides. To the south and west of the municipality are the largest crop fields, and to the east the mountains of Lazea, Arrondoba and San Pelayo. The proposed hiking route goes around the municipality, visiting places such as the Bulchaco Cave, El Roblar or Zabalea, from where you can enjoy excellent panoramic views of the surrounding area. It is a pleasant and easy walk, which runs entirely through the municipality of Orísoain. The route begins by descending along the road to the junction with the NA-5100, next to the hermitage of the Virgen de los Remedios. From there we ascend towards the Old Artariain road, which later becomes a path to go into the Lazea Mountain between holm oaks until we reach the San Pelayo track. Further up, passing through the Roblar, in the direction of Arrondoba, we will find the Amatriain Way, along which we will return to Orísoain.
